Personal Contact Forms

Adminstrators can let users enable personal contact forms on their user profiles by enabling the Contact module under administer » modules. Note that if you wish to create a site-wide contact form, follow our instructions on how to create such a form using the survey module.

To enable their personal contact form, users must:

  1. click my account » edit tab
  2. check the box underneath "Contact settings"
  3. click the "Submit" button

This will create a contact tab on that user's profile page. The tab will be visible only for logged in users who have the "access user profiles" permission. Even if anonymous users have this permission, they must login to send email using the contact form.

The form will send email to the user's email address that they have set in their profile. The address will not be shown to people submitting the form unless the user replies to the email.
