Microformats, custom aggregator per user, import/export calendar info, 4.7 upgrade?
Hey there,
I have a few miscellaneous questions/issues that hopefully you can help me address. Some of these may be specific to Drupal 4.7, but it looks like you're starting the upgrade process??
Custom news aggregator per user?
I've been looking for a way to give each user a way to subscribe to rss feeds, and/or submit individual news items from those feeds. Ideally those submissions could be tracked and presented somewhere along thelines of Now Public, Newsvine or Top 10 Sources.
Templates for authoring microformats?
Are there existing templates for authoring microformats similar to what Structured Blogging provides? Is CCK Drupal's answer to the 'Structured Blogging' plugin?
Import/export calendar info?
Is there a way to easily import event/calendar info from Eventful or Upcoming directly into the events module? It looks there are some modules and development in progress (I'm going to start playing around). Wondering if there any good examples of people integrating the data into their drupal sites?
Any help/clarity you're able to provide will be most appreciated! And yes, I'm very much looking forward to implementing some of these 4.7 specific solutions on the live site.

Custom news aggregator per user?
Check out Syndicator and Personal Aggregator. I don't have PHP 5 on my server (yet) so I haven't been able to give them an honest test.
Templates for authoring microformats? (CCK as Structured Blogging)
CCK + templates (either at the file level, such as node-content-widget.tpl.php or using Content Template) can get you microformatted custom content types, though there aren't a lot of templates, at least not published, that are ready-to-go.
Import/export calendar info?
Good questions about that, and I think you answered your own question with the 'modules in development'. AFAIK the Upcoming.org integration module imports into events, but it hasn't been updated for 4.7 yet. Someone else will have to speak about Eventful, which I don't know about, but a quick search suggests no released Drupal integration.

I grabbed syndicator/personal aggregator and will see if it'll produce what I'm looking for.. Curious to know how your suite mates at NowPublic are doing it (probably not with a canned module).
Regarding templates for microformats, I see that Bryght is one of the supporters for structured blogging. So I'm thinking y'all are good authorities regarding whats soon to be available or in the works?
GoingOn also provides some great examples of custom aggregation, templates for microformats, and 'myspace style' user pages.
