Election Day Buttons at H2otown in Signatures
So, today is election day in the US, and the readers of H2otown.info are pretty fired up about it. I had this idea: I'd create a tiny little button that says "I voted" to display in the signature of their comments.
Now, this page says that some HTML can be allowed by the administrator in the comment signature. Cool. But I'm not sure where to find this option to switch it on.
Also, I expect pretty high traffic today, especially in the afternoon and evening ET, so I've prayed to the Gods of Sysadmin to look favorably upon H2otown :)

Signatures
Turn on HTML allowing? Users can add whatever HTML they like to their signature (under the my account link, then the edit tab), but it will be filtered by whatever input format you have set for their role once they post their comment. Each individual user has to edit their own signature.
The sysadmin gods are watching over the server, and even made some tweaks to your site as they did notice higher activity this morning.
Cool -- I did it. I have a question about profile pages
Some folks would like to display theirs there as well, but it seems like HTML is not allowed there, and although I've turned on HTML allowed for comments in most of the roles now, it doesn't seem to be working there. I'm talking about /user/ pages, where it asks for a bio in the "Personal" section that users are allowed to fill out. I note that the field above, Keywords, has a line that says there's no HTML allowed, but it seems like HTML doesn't work in the bio either.
I'm interested in encouraging use of the profile pages, so I've been looking at them a lot lately.
Also, I just got David Mercer's book on Drupal 4.7, which I'm finding very useful.
Thanks for all the help on election day! And I owe you a mail on the duplicate book links problem, but it looks good!
