Hey guys,
Drupal doesn't seem to be sending any email. The forgot your password link says it's sending email, but none goes out. I've also tried calling drupal_mail directly but that doesn't work either. Got any ideas?
Thanks,
-Carl
Yes, Password trigger module has been added to drupal.org and I guess all our email delivery issues are rectified with this update. With this module an email notification is send to the user of who the password is changed. Ayahuasca
Yeah, there were some similar kinda problems with sites powered by drupal. But I heard recently that the issue has been fixed and no more existence. If you still face with the same I would recommend you to check weather smtp is installed and make sure you don’t delete any supporting files in it. Salvia divinorium
I have two continuing problems that are starting to become critical because my website usage is suddenly growing quickly and these issues are making life difficult for me and my users. 1. Cron is not working anymore. & 2. Forget password e-mail problem. Readers your thoughts pls. how to play acoustic guitar
Yes, some vulnerability has been reported in the Email Verification module for Drupal, which can be exploited by few people to conduct script insertion attacks. These vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 5.x-2.1, 6.x-1.2 and not in the latest version. Texas hold em
I have never heard such problems with sites powered by drupal, but the only problem is any user can force another user's password to change... simply by selecting "request new password" and putting in their user name. The user gets an email with the new.. but this feels like a violation to the user... and a pain. medical website design
Well... If your mail isn't set up properly then your Drupal mails will be stuck in your mail queue? Just read them from there...? Else, it sounds like you haven't installed properly (there are step-by-step instructions...?) for the admin user when you first install you actually input your own password... So... Use that? Try not installing the specific SMTP library, because it just uses the standard PHP mail function and the mail configuration in php.ini. And if still the problem persist then you wanna check with your internet service provider. Depeche Mode tickets
Port 25 is the standard SMTP port used for outgoing mail. The machine you currently run may be is local host. The obvious solution is to install a MTA on your PC. But, before you do that double check with your ISP to make sure that they don't prevent outgoing connections on port 25. coupon code
Yeah I have also heard friends discussing about the same issue only in drupal powered sites. I have never faced such, but also heard friends saying no issues with the latest version 6.10 vs 5.16. So give a try.

This is the support forum for Drupal as hosted on Bryght servers, so we might not be the best place for support specific to local Windows installs. Give this set of instructions a try, however: it looks like they ran into the same problem.

Mail server
Sounds like a problem with the mail server. I've asked the sysadmins to look at it, and will post here when I know more.
Fixed
I heard from the sysadmin and he says it should be fixed. Carl, can you verify this? I'll send you an email as well.
Yup
It's working fine now. Thanks guys.
