The forum module allows you to run a web-based discussion forum. A dedicated vocabulary is used to define the structure of the forums. By using a hierarchical vocabulary, you can choose forums which will not have topics, but will be just containers for other forums. This lets you both group and nest forums. This is controlled from the forum settings page.

Blocks

• Forum topics: displays active and new forum topics. The number of topics displayed can be controlled from the forum settings page. The forum topic block must still be turned on in the block administration screen.
