Unable to connect to database server error message
Hi There,
We are seeing this error message when attempting to visit our site. Please help :)
Unable to connect to database server
This either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.
The MySQL error was: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2).
Currently, the username is drupal_user and the database server is localhost.

We restarted the web server on your server, Peter. We're still investigating why it went down in the first place.
(In the future, can we get you to give us the URL or IP address of the site that's showing the message? We got a support ticket about this issue so we were able to rescue it and reply there.)
