TinyMCE Problem
I have created a profile for TinyMCE but it is not functioning properly. For example, I've uploaded an image. But when I click the "insert/edit image" button. Nothing happened. The same goes for the "insert link" button. Sometimes, it adds tags for no reason, and they seem to be impossible to get rid of.
I can hand code html but one of the contributor can't so I have to enable it for her. But if it works like this, it will drive her nuts.
Am I missing something? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks.

4.6 or 5?
Hi Kelly, is this for your version 4.6 site or your version 5 site? Also, which button are you clicking? The one that looks like the tree or the one that looks like the binoculars? Go with the one that looks like the binoculars, but also make sure you enable the Image and Image Assist modules under Administer » Site building » Modules. You may also have to add the appropriate permissions under Administer » User » Access control.
It's 5
It's for the 5 site. I was using the "tree" button. The only binoculars button I can see is for "find". I went to the TinyMCE button page but couldn't see other image buttons that looks like a binoculars. What's the name of that button?
Image and Image Assits are on and admin has permission.
Also, what about the HTML tags and insert links issue? I also can't get them working properly.
Thanks again!
same problem here
today was my first day configuring TinyCME on the v5 of the SVN and my advanced image and link buttons don't popup like they should. I'd like to know what I can do to fix this because I have some content to post and it sounds like it has been going on for awhile. Is there a fix?

Compressor
Sounds like the work of the TinyMCE compressor, which is supposed to make the loading of the files that generate the WYSIWYG editor faster. To fix the problem of the links and image buttons not working, you'd have to delete the files
/var/www/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce_gzip.phpand/var/www/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce_gzip.jsYou will have to refresh your browser after doing this. We've disabled the compressor on the hosted service and on most recent checkouts of the Subversion repository.
Thank you for your interest
Thank you for your interest in the problem was solved very quickly...
Not VPS
What can I do if I don't have a VPS account? I am guessing that the fix you mentioned can only be done if you have a VPS account. Is the problem generally fixed now for TinyMCE for managed accounts? As I don't want to activate it and have it changed all my html formating that I have put onto pages and pages of info.
Thanks.
Yes
We implemented the fix on the hosted service.
