Why Register?

As a registered user, you get extra privileges that the site admin has configured for you. Some of these could include: blogs, the ability to be notified when new content gets posted and image galleries.

How to Register

1. Surf to your site's base url e.g. http://www.urbanvancouver.com
2. Click on "Create new account"
3. Fill in your Username under 'Username:" and your E-mail address under "E-mail address:"
4. Fill in any other mandatory fields that are defined by your admin. Mandatory fields will be clearly marked by the theme that your site admin has chosen. Typically this marking is done with a red asterisk after the field name.
5. Fill in any optional fields that you wish to.
6. Click on "Create new account"
7. If you forgot to fill in a mandatory field or there is some sort of error, the relevant fields will be outlined in red. Otherwise you will see "Your password and further instructions have been sent to your e-mail address". Check your email for an email with the subject "Account details for...". This email will confirm your username and will have your system generated password.
8. Login

We suggest that you change your password to something you can remember. The default Drupal generated password can be hard to remember.
