Pages are by convention used for static content. See the page module documentation for more information

1. Login
2. Click on "Create content"
3. Click on "page"
4. If you want this page to be on the front page on your site, check "Promoted to front page", otherwise, uncheck it. Normally, you would leave this unchecked. For most types of sites, stories and blogs are the usual node types that would be promoted to the front page.
5. Type a relevant title under "Title:" e.g. About us" for the About page.
6. (optional) Create a path alias if you want a human readable URL e.g. www.yourdomain.com/about would have its "URL path settings:" set to "about" without the quotes, see the Path Alias How To for more info
7. Enter some text under "Body:"
8. Click on "Preview"
9. If you like what you see, click on "Submit" and you are done! Otherwise edit as you wish and go back to the previous step.
10. You are done! That's it!
